Method:

  1. To make the kofta, mix together the grated paneer, boiled potatoes, grated carrots, cornflour, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chili paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls and deep fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan and stir to combine.
  5. Add the pureed tomatoes to the pan and stir to combine with the spice mixture.
  6. Add the heavy cream to the pan and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes until it has thickened slightly.
  7. Add the fried kofta to the pan and let them simmer in the sauce for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish the Malai Kofta with chopped cilantro and serve hot as a main course.
