Grilled Portobello Mushrooms
Ingredients:
- 4 large Portobello mushroom caps
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Clean the Portobello mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp cloth. Do not wash them under water as they will absorb the liquid and become soggy.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the mixture onto both sides of each Portobello mushroom cap.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the Portobello mushroom caps gill side up on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until tender and slightly charred.
- Serve hot as a side dish or as a vegetarian main course with a side salad.
