Honey chilli cauliflower is a dish that features cauliflower florets that have been coated in a crispy batter and then fried until golden brown. Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp green onion, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  2. Add water to the bowl and whisk until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter, making sure each piece is coated well.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the cauliflower florets until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. In another pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  7. Add honey, soy sauce, chilli flakes, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well.
  8. Add the fried cauliflower florets to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the florets well.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
