Barbecue is a staple of summertime, and for good reason. There's nothing quite like the smell of meat cooking over an open flame, and the flavors that come from slow-cooking over low heat. Whether you're a fan of smoky ribs, juicy burgers, or tender chicken, there's something for everyone at a BBQ. In this article, we're going to share some of our favorite BBQ classics that are sure to be a hit at your next summer gathering.

Smokey Ribs

These smokey ribs are the epitome of BBQ flavor. The combination of a sweet and tangy sauce, along with the smoky flavor from the grill, creates a taste that is impossible to resist.

Ingredients:
  • 2 slabs of pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your grill to low heat (250-300°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub the mixture onto both sides of the ribs, making sure to cover all surfaces.
  3. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bone. Flip the ribs every 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  4. While the ribs are cooking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, mix together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Brush the sauce onto the ribs in the last 10 minutes of cooking, making sure to cover all surfaces. Serve the ribs hot and enjoy!
