Baby Bath Time Tips

1. Prepare the Bathing Area

Before you start, gather all the necessary items like a soft towel, baby soap, washcloth, and a clean diaper. Make sure the room temperature is warm and comfortable to prevent your baby from getting cold.

2. Check Water Temperature

Ensure the water temperature is lukewarm, around 37-38°C (98-100°F). Use your elbow or a bath thermometer to check the water temperature before placing your baby in the tub.

3. Support Your Baby

Use one arm to support your baby's head and neck, while the other hand supports their body. Gently lower your baby into the water, keeping their head above the water level.

4. Use Mild Soap

Opt for a gentle, fragrance-free soap specifically designed for babies. Use a small amount and gently wash your baby's body, avoiding the eyes and ears.

5. Rinse and Dry

Rinse your baby thoroughly, and then gently lift them out of the tub, using a towel to wrap and dry them. Be sure to dry in the creases and folds of their skin.
